Working Abroad in South Africa - Dr Anisa Nasir
Dr Anisa Nasir has been keeping a blog that includes the registration process, visas and paperwork to get to South Africa, her volunteer work and the travels in between. Keep an eye on her blog and read about this young doctor’s journey and experience of southern Africa. Dr Nasir plans to volunteer at Manguzi hospital for three months after she has spent a couple of weeks travelling.
In her own words: the plan is “to provide some healthcare, to learn a lot, to meet people and to force myself to face up to, question and understand a different version of reality, to help prop open my mind a little more, because minds (speaking about my own) have a tendency to want to close.”
