Post-graduate training
Ongoing knowledge development is an important part of any good health professional’s career. Our intent is to help facilitate this for you, and we are continuously looking out for training opportunities. Below, you will find links to a few brochures for the types of courses that are presently available.
We are also actively involved in the Rural Doctors Association of Southern Africa (RUDASA) conference, and provide sponsorship for students and selected doctors to attend each year. This conference affords a wonderful opportunity to network with others working in the field, and to be exposed to the latest thinking and research findings.
On the subject of post-graduate learning, it is also worth mentioning that AHP is working with various deaneries and schools of tropical medicine, to formalise the opportunity for learnerships, in which the time spent working in southern Africa actually counts toward the student’s post-graduate qualification. These opportunities are quite specific, so please contact us to find out whether they apply to you.
